Introduction to Franchises
Being an entrepreuner is living the American Dream and Franchises have made it possible for more people to own their own successful business. A Franchise is an already marketed brand name or system and often comes with training, support and sometimes even financial assistance.
The Benefits of Buying a Franchise
A successful business plan already exists. A successful model has been developed from that plan and will include strategies for developing customer and supplier relationships. The Franchisor can also supply initial advice and training. They do have an interest in helping you to succeed. The more succesful you are the more Franchises they will be able to sell.
Some Things to Consider
The benefits of being part of a larger organization can bring with it some compromises. You will be required to follow their business model rather than your own. When you are ready to sell the Franchisor will be be alerted so that they have the opportunnity to buy it back from you. They can also reject the buyer you have chosen. This can mean the selling of the business can taking a much longer time. |
